Mesa-Mann Parking Permit Scholarship
Beginning as a scholarship to honor her parents, Tino and Julia Mesa, Frances and husband Chuck have decided to expand on their scholarship.
Not having children of their own, Frances and Chuck experienced taking a nephew to college, including moving him in and making sure he had everything he needed. He had to get a parking permit for both on campus and parking at the dorms off campus. Such a shock! So like any good aunt and uncle, they helped his parents with one of the permits. An expensive, but necessary, need for a college student with a car, especially for those who commute.
Chuck Mann is a Woodlake alumni, class of 1971. While Frances may have graduated from the school across Hwy 198 (Exeter High School) the same year, after marrying Chuck she worked for 24 years in the Woodlake High School front office. Chuck was the WHS Assistant Varsity Softball coach for 5 years. The two continue to serve as volunteers at the gate of home football games and home volleyball games in the gym. This allows them to stay connected to a school that has given them so much.
Criteria: Active in extra-curricular activities, and sports. Must be in need of a parking permit for a car.
