The purpose of our foundation is to generate significant financial support for projects which otherwise would not be possible within the budget of our district. We welcome any contribution you make to aid us in this goal, whether to our General Fund or our Endowment!

What is the Woodlake HS Foundation Endowment?
The Foundation was established with the intent of creating a $1 million endowment to secure scholarships for our students every year. While the Foundation was raising money for countless scholarships, it wasn't until sometime around the early 2000s that the Board decided to set aside 10% of all undesignated funds to be invested into the endowment to ensure its longevity. This fund would be invested to generate long term income, with the proceeds of this fund’s investments used to fund yearly student scholarships, hopefully for perpetuity. A $1 million balance should be capable of generating up to $40,000 a year for student scholarships.

Are you willing to Volunteer?
The WHS Foundation Board is always looking for volunteers to help plan and implement events that benefit WHS students. Each year brings new events and new volunteer opportunities. Some examples include interviewing students for scholarships and exit interviews or setting up for award events. We hope you will join our new Tiger Volunteer Database and continue to support our students in new ways!
